Correctional Officers oversee and monitor the activities of the inmates in living areas, recreation activities areas, dining areas and visitation areas.
Correctional Officers also coordinating and monitoring inmate movements, conduct counts and provide emergency response as needed all while maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
Correctional Officers MUST we able to work as a team and coordinate activities with fellow officers and supervisors.
As a recruit, you will attend a 13-week academy to prepare you for a career as a Correctional Officer.
Courses including firearms training, defensives tactics, first aid, other hands-on/classroom courses and more.
While attending the academy, recruits can expect to work 8.
5 hours a day Monday-Friday.
Recruits will return to their own residence and are not required to stay overnight.
Upon completion, the recruit must take and pass the State Officer Certification Exam.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
